There I was swishing about the internet when I stumbled across the devastating, terrible news that Zoe Lucker has left Footballers Wives, which means no more Tanya Turner.

I worship and revere the character of Tanya Turner as a goddess. The other wives just aren't of same calibre. I had only just come to terms with the loss of the fantastic Jason Turner at end of series two and now this! It's like a bereavement. From Thursday of this week I shall wear black and never speak again.

Yes I do know it's a TV programme and they're characters not real people blah,blah fucking blah, but seeing Tanya manipulate and scheme was one of my few pleasures in life. The programme reflected my dream lifestyle. I'm sure it will still be funny, but without Tanya in the middle of it all like a big, sinister, gold, fake- tanned spider, just not the same.

I'm now off to buy a DVD player so that I can buy all the old episodes which they don't do on video anymore. A Footballers Wives geek! Who'd have thought it? In five years time I'll be holding conventions dressed in full Tanya drag!
